this is my sunday series: GOD IS AN ARTIST.i actually started this last year. if you look in my archives, you will see this was my constant. they are beautiful. i hope to continue this little series every sunday. i think god is everything, including an artist.

since the world is going to end this year (haha, right!)...it's time to get serious about my LIFE LIST. most people call it a bucket list? but it just doesn't work for me. idk.
i've always had a giant list of things i've wanted to do before i die. my high school bestie and i filled up a spiral bound notebook of all the places we wanted to see and things we wanted to learn and do.
my friend passed away after high school and the list took a back burner to the reality that i would have to accomplish it all alone. it's been about 6 years and this list has haunted me ever since. i've always kept it with me. rewrote it. added and subtracted things. wrote it all in my todoist. then wrote it all back in a journal. it's currently chilling in this book:

so guess what, people?! "blog every day for an entire year" is actually on the list. so why not use this vessel to get my list done? yeah, i'm riding solo, but hopefully the blog will make me feel like i have company.
since i have HUNDREDS of things i want to do, i narrowed it down to a modest list of things i can get working on right away. this list is as follows:
1) become a morning person2) learn to crochet3) plan my fantasy wedding (no, really!)4) spend an entire day at the library5) make homemade passion tea lemonade6) start an opinion column7) get a penpal8) learn to make sticky fingers from wingers9) stop cutting my hair off!10) solve the rubiks cube11) blog every day for an entire year =)12) memorize the living christ13) collect original artwork14) learn how to read music15) get my instructors license
one day, i might get fancy and compile the whole list with links to those i have completed...but, my niece is paging me to skip the commercials on toy story 2 for her...so..until next time! HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

2011 RECAP

2011 was a BLASTTT!i made a lot of great friends this year.

i spent hours with family roadtripping back and forth to north dakota. (where my sister lives and what is now my current home!)

i took an epic roadtrip with close friends to los angeles!we spent time in santa monica, newport, and balboa island!

and i saw the ocean for the first time in my life!

roadtripped a few times to vegas and arizona with amazing girls.

and i found god. one day, i might tell parts of my story. it's incredibly personal and kind of amazing. either way, i found out that He was always with me. i just forgot for about 6 years!
this year i did a lot of traveling and a LOT of laughing! and i was fortunate enough to start working on my LIFE LIST! everything i checked off will get its own special post, as well as everything i do this year!
i'll be back tomorrow with my goals for 2012! one of which includes this little blog!
